FAQs
1Will the magnets cause any interference with the switch's internal electronics?
No. The magnets are embedded in the base for external attachment to the metal panel. They provide physical adhesion and do not interfere with the electrical switching mechanisms inside.
2Can I use the BD-H01-4 on a plastic control box?
Magnetic mounting requires a ferrous (iron/steel) surface. For plastic or aluminum panels, the magnets will not attach. In those cases, we recommend our BD-D67 series which supports 3M adhesive or screw mounting.
3 Is the magnetic pull strong enough to prevent the cover from falling off?
Yes, the high-performance magnet provides a stable grip for industrial environments. While it's easy for authorized personnel to remove when unlocked, it won't be dislodged by typical vibrations or accidental bumps.
4Will the magnets interfere with sensitive precision instruments?
The magnetic field is localized at the base for surface attachment. It is generally safe for industrial control panels, but we recommend testing if you are using it on extremely sensitive electromagnetic measuring devices.
5Can this lockout be secured with a padlock?
No, the device does not have a locking hole and cannot be locked with an industrial safety padlock.
6Can the cover withstand high-impact accidental strikes?
Absolutely. The cover is made of Reinforced Polycarbonate (PC), an industrial plastic known for its exceptional impact resistance (often used in safety glasses and shields).
